From local dirt tracks to NASCAR, Budd Olsen built a solid reputation, first as a driver and then as one of the leading race car builders in the region. Budd passed on much of his knowledge and experience to his son Doug. Doug further honed his skills and developed his own stellar reputation. Today, Doug leads an all-star team including Winston Cup and ARCA racing veteran Jimmy Horton along with Rob Pierce in servicing all of your speed supply needs.
Jimmy Horton began racing his father¿s small block sportsman class racecar and, at age 18, won the sportsman championship at Orange County Speedway in 1974. Since that first championship, Horton has won a combined total of ten more track championships at Bridgeport and New Egypt Speedways. His career includes forty-eight NASCAR and dozens of ARCA races with seven superspeedway victories including two wins of the Daytona ARCA 200. While Jimmy continues to compete, he focuses his daily attention on setting up and repairing racecars. These skills have been sharpened over his racing career and are now available exclusively through Budd Olsen Speed Supplies.
